Growing
“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in season, and its leaf does not wither” Psalm 1
Freedom House Discipleship School
The decision to take this step, to take time after graduation to complete an 11 month discipleship program, has not been an easy one by any means. I can say with full confidence, however, that the Lord has faithfully called me here.
Full of confusion as I looked to post-grad, I asked the Lord to direct my heart. He continued to remind me of the seed of love He has sown in my heart from the start. A love for the nations, for all people to know Him. The past four years at Clemson have been transformative in many ways. The Lord has brought me deeper, allowed me to understand His love in new ways and learn how I can love others as an imitation of His heart.
I’m beyond excited that this is what’s next. Over the next year, I’ll spend time weekly in corporate worship and prayer, Biblical teaching, and mentorship. The purpose of this time is to cultivate a deeper personal relationship with Jesus and to grow in making disciples as I hope to step into full-time ministry.

As a part of this role, I am fundraising for my trip next summer, as well as tuition and living expenses as a part of the program. I am relying on the support of friends and family to send me into the mission field. I would greatly appreciate your support and would love to invite you to link arms with me financially and in prayer! The link below brings you straight to my fundraising page where you can give online. Thanks for your support!
Why This Ministry?
There is so much that I don’t know about what’s next, but I do know that the Lord is intentional and that He has continually led me towards international ministry in ways that I could have never expected.
At eight years old I was changed by a trip to Thailand. Spending time with Dow, my friend across the world, seeing the way she lived radiantly and with so much love, is something I may not have processed at seven, but it has stuck with me my whole life. A trip to Haiti years later left me the same way. These places have held the most defining moments of my life. I headed to college with doubt, not understanding where the Lord was leading because part of me wanted to move across the world right then!
But God has been so faithful. This past year I was blessed to lead a team through Clemson FCA called International Outreach. There is so much I could say about how this team has changed my life, but what stands out is the way that the Lord moved, taking my little offering and multiplying it. He showed me His heart for His people, and it moved my heart closer to His in the process. We spent time loving and serving International students and families from across the world, proclaiming the Gospel to those who have never heard it. We shared meals and laughs and learned so much from each other. This passion for people is something the Lord has fostered and tended to in the garden of my heart.
I’m excited that FHDS is the next step!
